Description

Vortex Liqui-Capsule is a high-performance acrylic asbestos encapsulation coating designed to safely seal and contain asbestos materials where removal is not feasible due to structural or safety constraints. It forms a durable, flexible membrane that locks down fibres, prevents environmental exposure, and protects surfaces from weathering and water ingress.

Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, it is specifically formulated for use on properly prepared asbestos cement sheets and sprayed asbestos concrete surfaces, providing long-term protection and compliance support when handled correctly.

Surface Preparation

• Do not apply to asbestos in poor condition or areas subject to disturbance
• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, oil, and loose fibres
• Avoid dry sanding or abrasive preparation methods
• Always follow local safety regulations and use appropriate PPE

Application Method

• Best applied using airless spray equipment
• Can also be applied by brush or roller where required

Spray Application

• Thin with up to 5% clean water if necessary
• Recommended nozzle size: 0.017” – 0.031” (17–31 thou)
• Adjust pressure for even atomisation and consistent coverage

General Application

• Keep container sealed during use to prevent skinning
• Use thick nap rollers for textured surfaces

Coverage

• Approx. 1.5 – 2 L/m²
  (Depending on surface porosity and condition)

Roof Application Note

• Ensure minimum 2–4° slope to prevent water pooling
• Confirm consistent fall across roof surface
